Antónia Barreto

I am a teacher at the IPL for 30 years on Education Sciences and Reserach Methodologies. My main academic interests are adult training, school evaluation, lifelong learning and education for development.

Filipe Santos

I work as a professor at the IPL since 1998. Most of my teaching activities concern the use of Multimedia in Education (my PhD area) and Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D).

I have participated in several European funded projects on the use of technologies in informal, non-formal and formal learning contexts. Currently I am a member in two of these projects: 1) on the use of Personal Learning Environments in non-formal education for seniors; 2) on the use of Museums as informal learning spaces on the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals.

In the last years most of my research has been on issues of Digital Identity of Non-Governmental Organizations for Development. For this, I deeply collaborate with some NGOs for Development that work in/with Portuguese-speaking African countries. Most of this work concerns the African country of Guiné-Bissau, where I am also involved in development projects concerning ecotourism and digital archives for cultural-historical museums. 

Pedro Costa

Pedro Costa, 40 years, graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, is post-graduate in 6 Sigma – Black Belt and is, since 1997, collaborator of IPLeiria.

He began his professional career in 1991, having exercised its activity in various marketing logistics companies and others.

He is currently Head of President´s Office and Head of bureau of planning and strategic development. Held various management positions, having been, in 2006, the coordinator of the internal reorganization of financial and human resources departments of IPLeiria.
