Institute for Human Resources Development (IHRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization located in Lublin, eastern Poland with the mission is promote and support education and sustainable development of labour market.
It is supported by the local authorities and by the Council of Europe. Through its programmes and activities, IHRD pursues the development of the intercultural dimension in the field of education and culture. This is also involved in developing a range of actions related to tackling the exclusion experienced by social groups. In an international and national level it pursues the climate of tolerance and inter-national communication.
IHRD runs an education centre for adults – HomeCollege – Language and Vocational Training Centre, where various courses are offered: languages, ICT, civic education, etc. Target group are students at risk of social exclusion and with difficulty in access to unpaid education, e.g. inhabitants of remote villages, seniors, long-term unemployed, etc. IHRD co-operates with local governments, training institutions and NGOs. It has built also a wide network of partners from different regions of Poland and from other European countries, including institutions, NGOs and professionals.

Valkeakoski Lifelong Learning Centre (Finland)

Valkeakoski-opisto is a public lifelong learning centre that offers a wide variety of courses for people of different ages, from children to senior citizens. The centre consists of a liberal adult education centre, a personnel training unit and art schools for children and youngsters. The courses in adult education range from foreign languages and ICT to fine art, handicraft, music, dance, cooking, and health education. We arrange public lectures and open university courses in cooperation with Finnish universities. In total, we offer 51,200 teaching hours annually to approximately 10,000 students.
Valkeakoski-opisto operates in three municipalities in the region. Additionally, personnel training is offered in the entire Southern Pirkanmaa region.The region has been affected by recent global economic crises and its unemployment rate is currently above the national average. The local population is aging rapidly. There is also an emerging immigrant population.

Porsgrunn Adult Education Centre (Norway)
Porsgrunn Adult Education Centre is a public education institution which offers education to different target groups:
- Training immigrants in Norwegian language
- Primary school / Generally secondary education for adults, both Norwegians and immigrants
- In close cooperation with the labour office: Arrange Special courses which combine language training, social skills, and working practice. Goal: getting immigrants into work.
- Disabled people, both physical and psychological.
We have 27 years experience in the field of working with migration and integration in the south of Norway, and also in working with disadvantaged groups. Our organisation has long experience in using different methodologies for training immigrants in the Norwegian language, making training-plans for immigrants that includes assessing the skills and abilities and suggestions for how to act to get a job (what kind of education is necessary, the identification of training needs and gaps, what trades are in need of workers and so on). As an organiser of several courses for immigrants, contenting language training combined with working practise, we are well known with immigrants as a group, their needs and their wishes.
Afyonkarahisar Halk Eğitim Merkezi ve Akşam Sanat Okulu (Turkey)
Institution building that was used as a public house until 1960, since the year 1961 was transferred to the People’s Education Centre has continued to serve there until 12/29/2009. Where the service continued until 12/29/2009.
New service building is made from the date of 12/29/2009, the service is going on here.
All of the building along with land 3771.97 m2 and 976.5 m2-based building, basement +3 floors are comprised of a normal times, lapalı the total area 4882.5 m2.
14 classrooms, two computer labs in two administrative staff room 1 room, 1 servant room, 1 library, 1 multi-purpose hall continues as a service.
Formal education system had never dropped out, or stages or individuals at any level of the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes alongside or outside of formal education to give them, their interests, desires and capabilities in line with economic, social and cultural development provider, quality, time and a variety of levels with a life-long education, manufacturing, guidance and implementation activities for the purpose of establishment of our center’s studies.
In addition, recent changes to the Ministry for Public Instruction Schools of all business and operations were transferred to our center. Center directors and staff of the former Education Services Centre in this regard has been assigned, this field transactions conducted through competent and experienced staff.
